The Soup-er Stars is designed and facilitated so that your youth or little person is supported to participate at their fullest capacity, and have learning-filled positive experiences in a commercial kitchen! We will cook a variety of soups together, eat together, and send you home with soup for your freezer. And because paying it forward is important to us, you will also leave with a little extra (free of charge) to share with a neighbour or friend.

This is an ideal group if you are a stay at home mom, especially if you have a baby in the carrier and a toddler holding your hand, or if you are looking for an easy way to engage in cooking together with a little person. Bring everyone! We are set up for there to be additional child minding support, and with games and activities so that kids can be part of the soup making, or take breaks as needed.  No matter what happens, soup will get made and you will eat and go home with some!  And if your single or a senior – bring yourself and feel welcomed to dive as deep into the community as your comfortable with. With all organic, super healthy food on the stovetop, you can’t go wrong!

 

What will we make?

Each week we will make one fully vegan soup, and 2 other soups that are made with already prepared homemade chicken or bone broth. It is important to We Are Meant To Eat Together that we source ethically raised ingredients; great efforts will be made to use as much organic and seasonal ingredients as possible, based on cost restrictions and availability.

We Are Meant To Eat Together is experienced and knowledgeable at working with food restrictions and allergies. As a standard, you can expect that we are able to accommodate the most common food restrictions including dairy, gluten, and eggs. Please let us know ahead of time if there are food restrictions that your family is working with.

How much does it cost?

$9 per litre

Each family is asked to purchase a minimum of 5 Litres                 

$9 per litre x 5 Litres = $45

Each individual (single persons) is asked to purchase a minimum of 3 litres
