This workshop explores chocolate in storytelling and cultural expressions throughout the world and history.  And of course the meal that we will prepare will feature as many different opportunities to honour and taste the delights of chocolate as possible!

We will begin with a look into how chocolate, like so many yummy foods, originally came from Central and South America dating back to 1900 BCE. The Aztecs believed that cacao seeds were the gift of Quetzalcoatl, the god of wisdom, and the seeds once had so much value that they were used as a form of currency.
